"After trying all other kinds of treatment available, the A.R.T. along with chiropractic was the only way my injury could be cured. Dr. Lipp made me totally pain-free."

"The afternoon before IMF '05 I was experiencing considerable lower back pain/tightness as well as a tight hamstring. Being a long-time believer and user of Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.) I immediately sought out the ART docs at the expo. I was concerned about the agitation factor in working too much or too deep in my troubled areas so close to race day but when I got off the table I was confident my issues would dissolve quickly. Dr. Lipp not only alleviated my discomfort, he allowed me to focus on my race and achieve a championship performance winning the women's 45-49 age group by a hefty margin only 3 weeks after Ironman Hawaii - Thank you Dr. Lipp!"

- Kathleen Hughes, 2005 Florida Ironman Champion

Car Wreck

It has been over three years since the accident. Shortly afterwards, doctors said that it was unlikely that I would walk again and that the terrible pains in my back and leg will probably last indefinitely...but "[you're] lucky to be alive." I suppose I was, but still I prayed for something more. I dreamed of the day that I would find some relief from the continuous debilitating pain caused by the traumatized muscle and bone.

Despite fifteen surgeries over many months to repair the many fractures, damaged muscles, and nerves, the unrelenting pain remained. I was then resigned to a life of pain and medication; that was until I met Dr. Lipp with Active Performance Care.

The results of Active Release Techniques (A.R.T) are nothing less than amazing! Today, my physical limitations have improved to the extent where my wheelchair is gone, I can walk nearly two miles a day, and I can sleep through the night for the first time since the accident. More exciting though, is that the pain in my back and leg has subsided to a level where I do not require constant medication. Frustrated by ineffective treatments from your health providers? Then make an appointment to see Dr. Lipp. You'll be glad you did!

"The Muscle Whisperer" is what I call Dr. Lipp to my friends and family. I started going to see Dr. Lipp a year ago for lower back pain. I had gone to my family physician for the problem and he told me it was muscular and to take a Tylenol. I heard about Dr. Lipp through a friend. On my first appointment, he immediately diagnosed my problem and within a short amount of time was able to relieve the pain.

Since then, if I have any muscular, ligament, or tendon problems I go straight to Dr. Lipp. I’ve been a registered nurse for 23 years and, I have to say, have never met a professional who is as knowledgeable, empathetic, and attuned to the muscular structure of the human body as Dr. Lipp.

He not only works his magic in the office, but is also very helpful in guiding you onto a healthier path at home. To me, the name "The Muscle Whisperer" says it all. Dr. Lipp truly listens and then goes into action to help and heal.

Dr. Lipp and Active Release Technique (ART) have changed my life! I have not participated in a gym class since elementary school due to patellar chrondomalacia (deterioration of the knee cap due to chronic dislocation). I have seen nearly a dozen doctors and physical therapists through the years and had minor improvements at times, but was never capable of being physically active - at all. At the recommendation of a friend, I went to see Dr. Lipp for tendonitis in my achilles tendon. He determined that my knee problems and ankle pain were a a result of misalignments that began in the hip. Within a few months, Dr. Lipp had worked on scar tissue removal and soft tissue realignment that put my knee caps in a straighter position than I had had since early childhood. But better than the appearance of my knees was the function of my legs! I could ride in the car for long periods without hip pain, I could walk for three days at Disney World without renting a scooter, I could kick a soccer ball around with my son, I could wear the shoes I wanted to wear instead of the 'dumpy, sensible ones'. I have avoided stairs my whole life, and I am now living in a two story house due to the success of Dr. Lipp and ART. I would highly recommend him for any knee problems you may be having. We have recently moved out of state, and I am struggling to find an ART provider with the understanding and expertise I found in Dr. Lipp. Going to him is a priviledge that could change your life, too!

As an avid soccer player my entire life, I was extremely frustrated when the pain in the arches of my feet became so great that I could no longer play. Over many of the following months I had seen other doctors who were interested in making me more comfortable with my pain, suggesting less activity, drugs and different types of arch supports etc.

Dr. Lipp was the only person I found who wanted to fix my problem, not just help me cope with the pain. After each visit, I was expected to go for a run to enhance my treatment. As an athlete, I immediately knew Dr. Lipp understood my goals when he put me right back into my running shoes.

In only 6 visits, with a combination of A.R.T and adjustments, I was back to playing soccer with NO PAIN - that's right NO PAIN!!! Dr. Lipp's treatment also restored strength and quickness that I didn't even realize I had slowly lost over the extended period of time from my injuries.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate everything he's done for me. He's given me back a very big part of my life by restoring my ability to once again play the sport I love.

Thank You Dr. Lipp!

I suffered a complete ligament tear and high ankle sprain and spent 8 months with my right ankle immobilized in a boot cast. After many months of physical therapy and marginal improvement, it was recommended by 4 orthopaedic surgeons that I have ankle surgery. As a working mom with 2 children with very active schedules, I was told I'd not be able to drive for almost 6 weeks following surgery. This would literally burden our lives! My husband discussed this dilemna with his marathon running secretary, who had experienced great healing having Dr. Lipp treat her using Active Release Technique (ART). I was desperate to avoid surgery at all cost and made an appointment. After visiting Dr. Lipp over a period of several weeks and having him treat me with ART, my ankle felt completely healed. In less than a month I was downhill skiing with no brace and NO PAIN. It has been several years and I'm on a treadmill or elliptical everyday and even went downhill skiing again. Total use of my ankle without surgery and I feel no pain or weakness in my ankle!

March of 2006 I was experiencing knee pain and it was the beginning of my triathlon season. It had gotten to the point where I couldn't even walk. I visited an orthopedic surgeon and was told "just don't run for awhile." We all know that as an athlete, you can't stop doing what you love. My coach recommended visiting Dr. Lipp of Active Performance Care. Upon entering his office, he informed me that I would be running in no time. After a few visits of ART, I was back to running and even at a faster pace! Since then I continue to visit periodically to keep my body feeling its best.

Thank you Dr. Lipp for your help in achieving my goals and for the continued maintenance!

For the first time in more than two years, I am waking up with no back pain! I am also able to function for a full day with a morning work-out, full day at the office and then an evening at home without pain. I cannot put into words what a feeling it is to not be in pain after so many days of just living with it. Dr. Lipp is the fourth doctor I have seen since I first herniated a disc in my back two and half years ago. Unfortunately, doctor number two decided that surgery was my best option. And, while it temporarily worked, it resulted in further back injury. Doctor number three did practice a form of chiropractic; which seemed to give me some relief, but only by seeing him every other day. Honestly, after a couple of thousand dollars (and that's with excellent insurance) and too many doctor's appointments to count, I had given up and accepted that pain was just part of my life. Well...then I visited Active Performance Care. WOW! I must admit, at first, the process was a bit awkward and very different than any other treatment I had experienced. However, because Dr. Lipp took the time to explain every step to me, and answer every question I had along the way, I was comfortable with it. What I like the most about ART is two-fold. One, my body is part of the healing process - not machines. And two, if I continue to follow the prescribed exercises I will not be dependent upon seeing a doctor often (just for the occasional check-up). I am very thankful for what Active Performance Care has done in my life! I thank God daily for using Dr. Lipp to heal my back and helping my quality of life to improve.

Each visit to Dr. Lipp's office is a life changing experience. I come away with less pain, greater mobility, and the ability to accomplish more physically and mentally in all areas of my life. Dr. Lipp has treated me for a bulging cervical disc. I had spent the last year on pain medication, PT, massage etc. and still was experiencing severe pain and discomfort. I work as a pediatric OT and by the end of the day the pain was so bad I often went right to bed. Prior to my injury I was exercising each day and was an avid cyclist and walker.

Post injury, I was told to give up biking and that I would have to live with the pain. After one visit to Dr. Lipp the pain was substantially reduced. In 4 visits, my range of motion significantly increased, I was off my medications, and was exercising daily again. Best of all I am shopping for a new bike. To say that Dr. Lipp and ART are life altering doesn't begin to convey the joy I am once again experiencing at work, home and play.

Thank you,

Susan

Dear Dr. Lipp:

Just wanted to drop you a note to express my appreciation for relieving my bilateral adhesive capsulitis which I acquired by carrying luggage during my continuous business travel. I had limited range of motion and experienced pain from just reaching to the back seat of my car while in the driver's seat. Even sleeping was uncomfortable.

After only four A.R.T. treatments I have a full range of motion and am able to swim again without pain. I am also no longer experiencing pain during travel. I can sleep better and perform my daily routine without discomfort.

Thanks again for your help.

Sincerely,

Marie

[Letter of Recommendation to a Professional Head Trainer]

I have had a head/neck injury for over 1 1/2 years and have been to a GP, Massage Therapists, Neurologist, Physical Therapist, Pain doctor, Chiropractor, 2 Neurosurgeons and no one could find the cause of my pain. I followed all the instructions from medications, injections to the tissues, adjustments and exercise. Nothing has helped until now.

I have had much success and reduction of pain that I can live a "normal" life. I am playing tennis regularly and sleeping through the night. This was not an option before my treatments from Dr. Jeff Lipp. I would like to pass on the information to you in hopes you can use him with your players and their injuries.

Jo Ann

I want to express my gratitude to Dr. Jeffrey Lipp and Active Release Techniques for the relief he has given me with my lower back problems. I had gone to the Mayo Clinic and was diagnosed with bulging lumbar discs and canal stenosis and their suggested treatment was surgery and physical therapy. In looking for relief in a more conservative approach, Dr. Lipp was recommended to me. After a series of Active Release treatments and stretching and strengthening exercises, the discomfort in my back has been reduced significantly, to the point where walking and general movement is back to normal. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lipp's approach to therapy.

Sincerely Yours,

James

Hi Doc,

I just wanted to send you a quick note on the great results you have had with my back. As you know, when I first came in I thought it was a waste of time because I was looking at having surgery. I could barely walk because of the pain, and bending in any direction was out of the question.

After 3 visits to your office, I have been walking around with no pain. After the 4th visit, I felt so good I went golfing. Because of the extra mobility I was able to turn my back and add 30-35 yards on my drives and 20 -30 yards to my long irons. Well, I just wanted to take time and say thanks.

Thanks again Doc,

Basil
