To expedite the process of the first visit, we have included our New Patient Paperwork to print off and fill out prior to your appointment. If you are unable to complete the New Patient Paperwork prior to your appointment, please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Dr. Lipp makes a strong attempt to maintain a tight schedule.
Your Initial Visit
When you first arrive at Active Performance Care you will have an opportunity to sit and speak with Dr. Lipp. He will carefully review and discuss your health history and any other relevant information.
Dr. Lipp will perform an examination to better determine the cause of your pain/discomfort and dysfunction. The examination may consist of a thorough orthopedic, neurological, functional, radiological (if necessary), and soft tissue examination. In addition, we analyze gait, range of motion, biomechanics and postural presentation. Your treatment will begin immediately following the examination procedures.
If at any time during your examination or course of treatment that Dr. Lipp feels that further tests (MRI, CT, blood work, orthopedic consultation) are necessary he can provide you with a referral to quality professionals. Please bring any relevant imaging or report to your first visit.
One can expect the initial visit to last approximately 45 minutes for most cases. The cost of the initial visit is usually $240. If more or less time is necessary the cost of the visit will reflect accordingly. If x-rays are medically necessary there will be an additional cost of ~$75 for a simple series.
What to Wear
Please bring athletic shorts for any lower back or lower extremity condition, and a sports bra or tanktop for any neck or upper extremity condition.
Insurance
We are out of network with all insurance companies. We encourage you to check with your insurance carrier to determine your eligibility and benefits. Generally if you have a PPO you have out of network benefits. You need to find out what your out of network deductible is, and if it's been satisfied for the policy year. Once this deductible is met, insurance will reimburse you minus your coinsurance. We file Health Insurance Claim Forms on behalf of our patients a monthly basis. If you wish to file sooner we can provide you with a Health Insurance Claim Form upon checkout from your visit.
Subsequent Office Visits
Following the examination procedures, Dr. Lipp will carefully explain the nature of your condition and his recommendations for your recovery from pain and restored function. Your treatment will begin immediately. One can expect each follow up office visit with Dr. Lipp to be between 15 and 30 minutes. The cost of the average follow up office visit is usually between $80 and $130, unless additional time or modalities (evaluation of a new area, re-evaluation, acupuncture, cold laser, electrical stimulation, Kinesio® Taping, etc.) are necessary.
